Budha, Buddha & Buddhi

There is a difference

Budha

 

A general term for a wise man or sage and an ancient name for the planet Mercury. Budhism with one d is used to denote the following of a spiritual path but is rarely used and is often an incorrect spelling of Buddhism.

 

Buddha

 

Someone who has reached the state of enlightenment of Gautama Siddartha and is also a follower. Buddha is also used to refer to Gautama Siddartha himself. Buddhism with two d’s usually denotes the Buddhist religion as taught and founded by Gautama Siddartha.

 

Buddhi

 

The sixth principle (second highest) of man’s sevenfold constitution.
